Notification of Intent to Reorganize, Promote, or Reassign (NIRPR)

The Notification of Intent to Reorganize, Promote or Reassign form (NIRPRNotice of Intent to Reorganize, Promote or Reassign) is used when departments are interested in changing responsibilities for existing employees, usually as a result of a reorganization, promotion, or reassignment. This process is NOT used for reclassifying or reassigning classified employees within bargaining units (SEIU, GCIU, GTFF) covered by labor agreements.

Please complete a NIRPRNotice of Intent to Reorganize, Promote or Reassign for each employee involved in a reorganization, promotion, and/or reassignment.  In addition, please attach a justification memo, a copy of the current and proposed position descriptions and the organizational chart for all affected positions. If you are doing a departmental reorganization please do a NIRPRNotice of Intent to Reorganize, Promote or Reassign packet for each employee but submit the NIRPRs for the whole reorganization at the same time.
