Deadlines for Unclassified Appointments

Contracts for unclassified appointments should be issued a minimum of two weeks prior to the start date of that contract. The originating office must build in time for review and approval by any other offices that have to sign off (Deans/Directors and AAEO). The Office of Affirmative Action requires at least one week before Unclassified Personnel Services' office deadline to ensure contracts will be processed in a timely manner.

2009-10 RENEWAL PAPERWORK DEADLINES

12-month employees:

  • Contracts starting July 1:
    May 18: Unclassified Personnel Services' office deadline for RTOs
    July 8: Payroll office deadline for all July pay documents

9-month employees:

  • Contracts starting September 16:
    August 17: Unclassified Personnel Services' office deadline for RTOs
    September 8: Payroll office deadline for all September pay documents
  • Contracts starting December 16:
    November 15: Unclassified Personnel Services' office deadline for RTOs
    December 7: Payroll office deadline for all December pay documents
  • Contracts starting March 16:
    February 15: Unclassified Personnel Services' office deadline for RTOs
    March 6: Payroll office deadline for all March pay documents

Law School 9-month employees:

  • Contracts starting August 16:
    July 1: Unclassified Personnel Services' office deadline for RTOs 
    August 7: Payroll office deadline for all August pay documents
  • Contracts starting January 1:
    December 1: Unclassified Personnel Services' office deadline for RTOs 
    January 7: Payroll office deadline for all August pay documents
