University Human Resources provides the following resources to assist employees with their career transition:
Career and Financial Counseling
Confidential one-on-one sessions with a licensed counselor are available and can be customized for each individual based on their specific career transition needs. Areas of assistance can include a general assessment of interests, motivation, and job skills, writing a resume and cover letter, interviewing skills, job search assistance, and many other career transition services.
Financial coaches are also available and can provide a needs analysis and an online written action plan to help develop better spending habits, reduce debt, improve credit, and increase savings to employees.
EAP representatives can also help with the emotional challenges and adjustments related to a career transition.

Benefit eligible employees can contact Canopy to schedule a career counseling appointment at a time that is most convenient. EAP services are available for up to 30 days after the last day of employment.
Canopy, Employee Assistance Program
UO contracts with Canopy to provide a comprehensive employee assistance for benefit-eligible employees and their dependents. The confidential services are provided at no cost to eligible members.
Canopy provides tools, resources, and training. Create a MyAdvantage account on the Canopy website to individualize your program.
Unemployment Insurance
The State of Oregon Employment Department provides many resources to assist with navigating unemployment insurance benefits including instructions for filing a claim, temporary rules, and frequently asked questions.
