Canopy Assistance Program
Canopy, the university's employee assistance program, offers several confidential support services for employees facing layoff. You will have access to Canopy for thirty days after your last day of employment.
Highlights include:
- Five counseling sessions, in person, virtual, or on the phone, to address anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
- Job coaching that includes:
- Creating a job search plan.
- Cover letter and resumé help.
- Support with the emotional challenges of losing a job.
- Financial coaching to help with budgeting, managing bills, and coping with financial uncertainty.

State of Oregon Resources
The State of Oregon Employment Department offers unemployment benefits to workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own. Anyone authorized to work in the U.S. may be eligible.
WorkSource Oregon provides career development and job search resources to residents who have been laid off and/or are looking to make a career change.
