April 2025 Faculty Salary Implementation

According to the salary terms of the newly agreed-upon and ratified United Academics collective bargaining agreement, eligible faculty members will receive:

  • a one-time payment of $2,000, prorated based on FTE.
  • a 4.5% increase to base salary, effective 4/1/25.*

Eligible faculty members will receive the one-time payment and the increase in their end-of-April paychecks. See below for more details.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Unit-level payroll/HR staff: You do not need to do anything for these pay actions to take effect. Run the Employee Roster report in Cognos to see the new base rates, after April 16. If you have questions, please email hrops@uoregon.edu.
  • HR Operations and Payroll Services will implement the one-time payments and the salary increases and update the central employee files.
  • Faculty will be able to confirm the one-time payment and the salary increase in DuckWeb on or after April 15.

*Funding-contingent faculty who are principal investigators on the sponsored project that funds their own salary may petition the Office of the Provost to delay or forgo an increase in their own salary. Requests must be approved by 1. the PI's supervisor/director; 2. the applicable dean or OVPRI; and 3. the Office of the Provost, then routed to HR Operations.
